Butt it's Plastic
Apparently, tar makes it's way to our beaches not only through oil spills but also through cigarette butts - the most littered item in the world. The toxic chemicals in cigarettes are poison, not only to our bodies but to the environment, oceans and wildlife.
Cigarettes contain hundreds of toxic chemicals and when burned, the filter made of plastic fibers absorbs a big part of it, even tar. This filter/butt is another form of single use plastic and is made of oil, used once and poisoning our planet.
With that being said and the unimaginable amounts of cigarette butts thrown in the environment every single day around the world - I thought to illustrate this poison the way I see it. With smoked butts and BLACK plastic waste!
Made of 100% trash - smoked cigarette butts from beaches and streets, black plastic waste from beaches, , old sock, old PVC pipe, and a wooden surface from construction waste.
